Get Involved
You've seen the film. You know radical Islam is a threat. Now you want to do something about it. Here are suggestions:
Choose leaders who will fight radical Islam. Evaluate the policy positions of candidates, and vote in the November 2008 elections.
Contact the media. When you see biased media coverage or misplaced sympathy for terrorists, don't despair -- prepare. Write a complaint to the editor or to the radio or television station. State the points that were misrepresented and request that other perspectives are given equal time.
Spread the word online. Use social networking to decry intolerance and keep your contacts updated on the latest threats. Start a blog about the issues you are most concerned about. Keep your contacts informed by adding links to your myspace and facebook pages for http://www.radicalislam.org.
Educate your community. Arrange a screening for The Third Jihad or other important films. Conduct a post-show discussion to help people think about the issues in the movie. Support free speech on campus. If you are at a university, don't be intimidated by professors who express a biased point of view. Join with other students to organize a forum for a balanced exchange of ideas, rather than a rehashing of misinformation. On campus, start a booth or group to provide information about radical Islam.
Educate yourself and others. Keep yourself informed on the issues and news. Develop your own knowledge base and perspective. Start participating in forums, discussions, film screenings, political campaigns, speaking opportunities and media events. Live what's important to you. Our biggest defense is to stand strong and strive to bring meaningful ideals into our lives. Distinguishing between right and wrong does not mean you are intolerant or narrow-minded. It is okay to recognize that an ideology like radical Islam wants to destroy the good we have struggled to bring into our world.
